Men and women alike are pleased with the results made possible by our laser hair removal process. LHE targets the melanin in the hair shaft, then converts light to heat inside the follicle. The heat damages the bulge and the root, inhibiting and often preventing future hair growth.

LHE relies on the synergetic relationship between light and heat to create an efficient photothermal technique. With its unique combination, LHE maximizes the heat effect on the follicle without damaging or causing discomfort to surrounding tissue. Removing hair doesn’t make it grow back thicker, darker, or quicker; in fact, LHE treatments may cause hair to return slower and thinner.

Just about any area of the face or body can be treated. The most popular treatments are:

For Women

  • Upper lip
  • Underarms
  • Bikini area
  • Legs

For Men

  • Back and chest
  • Nape of neck
  • Sideburns
  • Hands

Is Laser Hair Removal Permanent?

The most common question asked about hair removal is whether it’s permanent, and the answer is yes. To fully understand why requires understanding the hair growth cycle and its location on the body. Most clients require four to eight treatments to achieve nearly complete, permanent hair reduction. This patented technology transcends older, painful hair removal treatments to deliver long-lasting results. LHE’s wide beam allows treatment of the back, shoulders, underarms, legs, face, and bikini areas quickly and effectively, and even sensitive areas like the lip and nipples can be safely treated.

How Does LHE Light Based Hair Removal Work?

The theory is simple: a flash of a specific band of light over the treatment area targets the melanin in the hair shaft and is converted to heat. This heat and light travel down the hair shaft and disable the hair follicle so it’s no longer able to produce hair. Once a hair follicle is disabled, it will never produce hair again.

How Long Is a Treatment?

Each treatment is relatively quick, depending on the size of the area treated. The upper lip, for example, takes less than 2 minutes with the LHE System.

Do I Need More Than One Treatment?

Yes. Whether using lasers, intense pulsed light devices, or the LHE System, more than one treatment is always needed. Hair has a growth cycle with three phases, and it’s only possible to disable hair growth during the active (anagen) phase. Different body areas have different growth cycles, so varying amounts of hair will be in the anagen phase at any given time. During your consultation, we’ll advise when your return visits should be to eliminate the most hair possible in the next anagen phase. For this reason, most people need between four and eight treatments for optimal results.

Does LHE Work for Blond or Gray Hairs, or Darker Skin Tones?

Like virtually every hair removal system, LHE works best on darker hairs, with blond and gray hair treatment admittedly more challenging; we recommend treatment before hairs turn gray. The great news is that recent advances in LHE technology now allow treatment of darker-skinned individuals with outstanding results comparable to those formerly achieved only in lighter skin types.

Laser Hair Removal FAQs

Is laser hair removal permanent?

Yes, though most clients require four to eight treatments to achieve nearly complete, permanent hair reduction due to the hair growth cycle.

How does LHE hair removal work?

A flash of specific light targets melanin in the hair shaft, converting to heat that disables the follicle so it can no longer produce hair.

How many treatments will I need?

Most people need between four and eight treatments, since only hair in the active growth phase can be effectively treated at any given time.

How long does each session take?

Sessions are relatively quick depending on treatment area; the upper lip, for example, takes less than two minutes.

Does LHE work for blond or gray hair?

LHE works best on darker hair, with blond and gray hair being more challenging to treat, so earlier treatment is recommended.

Can LHE treat darker skin tones?

Yes, recent advances in LHE technology now allow treatment of darker-skinned individuals with results comparable to lighter skin types.

Will removed hair grow back thicker or darker?

No, this is a common misconception. LHE treatments may actually cause hair to grow back slower and thinner.
